TREES THAT BEND NEVER BREAKA Poem by M. L. F.
At the heart of the hilltop -
newly draped in night's cold, stands a tree whose bared branches - are now weathered yet bold. Through the wages of trials, through the wind, and soon snow - shall the tree keep on standing, even though harsh winds groan. It will bend all the branches - drag each one to the ground. It will force shrill cries from them, as it blasts through in howls. But that tree will keep standing. Hell cannot knock it down. It will rise from near ashes - Standing plush, tall, and proud. Let the floods try to drown it - Oh those floods - how they try.. But a force field enshrouds it - rising up to the skies. Let all eyes who will see this - stare and learn from its faith, for the tree knows what we should - Trees that bend, never break... © 2017 M. L. F.Featured Review
