THE DEEPEST NEEDA Poem by M. L. F.
January winds rushed through her hair
To Heaven she gazed in prayer The depths to which she needed to go Subterranean, two thousand layers below the surface of shallow place where the soul waits for him -alone An ocean waiting for the one waters raged, wind chilled to the bone Heart calling to it's other half, Heart calling through the storm His heart, her twin, the missing half that her soul now pulled toward And staring high upon those stars, on Heaven her heart transformed As God commanded Heaven's stars to assure she's no longer alone The stars then told her he too waits, that he too sits out in the cold Head down that night, neath Heaven's Gate, for the twining of their two souls. © 2017 M.
