THROUGH THE FIRE

Through the fire, through the flames
you emerged like a swan
Stolen grace,
but the pain you would use, your reform
Though we watched as you flailed,
Now we watch as you dawn
Shedding layers
Shedding pain
See the light through the storm
Shake the earth
Thunder's quake
Of the Fire you were born
Now you rise
as we pray
Rise anew
Precious swan
Use that Fire deep inside
Burn it's way through the dawn
It's for YOU, not for THEM
Take a hold, YOUR REFORM
So one day, you shall stand
against the wind
against the storm
Here today
Past is gone

Wow! A very, very graceful and powerful write! This has a very wonderful flow and a delicate softness to it, a gentle urging to this swan to pass through its own baptism of fire, shed its feathers and rise like a phoenix, reborn, and conquer all that the world can throw its way. Both inspiring and beautiful at the same time, this poem is a must read for those of us who do not want to leave the comforting shelter of their existence. Aloha Misty, this is captivating and very powerful yet the hand is so gentle. A meditation for the spirit. For me these are words that have effect and inspire. Be wary though, as it's going to be quite brutally graphic. Very dark and violent s**t. But yeah, try to write a very short story about a certain event or scenario that occurs in a Post-Apocalyptic wasteland.

Beautifully inspiring Misty! What a great way to start the morning of the new year. The most stunning part of the poem is its strong voice for the Swan (the person you are mentioning) who have seen and encountered life's struggles and pains yet he/she fought with all her strength to stand tall in this world. Inspirational poems are never easy to write because most of the time they miss the fresh ideas to reach her readers and yours got everything my frnd. Hope the Swan rise up with more hope and courage.
