LASER SHARP AIM

LASER SHARP AIM

A Poem by M. L. F.
"

"THE DAMAGED ONES ARE THE DANGEROUS ONES, FOR THEY KNOW THAT THEY CAN SURVIVE" ;)

"
No clue who he toyed with
No thought who she was
She kept her blade sharpened
And ready to plunge
He'd hurt her, He knew it
Yet he didn't know
that her knives were all sharpened
and ready to go
Her sex appeal sold her
allowing him in
but nothing is safe Now
It's time to defend
She slipped up her black shirt
and slid out the blade
whose cold steel against her
a tiny cut made
she lifted the knife, then
she licked off the blood
looked over her shoulder
a wink and a nod
she focused her vision
her laser sharp aim
and crept down that hallway
that slithering snake
she crept up behind him
as he washed near the tub
and plunged deep her blade in
his spine, just above
the place where his back met
the front of his heart
then whispered, the blade in,
till death do us part....

Author's Note

M. L. F.
Sooo...before any of you go thinking wild things, like that this piece's author is insane and Hell bent on destruction and decimation... Allow her to elaborate: This piece is an anthem for strong, clever women everywhere, who have dealt with abuse / cheating / harmful negligence in any aspect, truly. It is in no way to condone nor to glorify actual murder / violence as a means of solving said issues. It is a metaphorical vehicle to drive the story from A to Z. A metaphor to say to men like this, not to take us for fools, for with a wink and a nod, we will draw our cleverly hidden blade on you... and cut you from our lives, when you least expect it.... ;)

SIDE NOTE: When the current story "The Devil's New Disguise" is completed and posted... I will be doing a piece about a female villain, but one who only fights men, until she finds a male counterpart that starts to change her, from the inside out, and I'm not going to tell you the twisty end... ;) This piece has inspired me SO... my imagination is on fire! ;)

*from behind a metal shield*.....

What to say about this poem? Other than......someone lock this woman up!!!! ;) She is very dangerous. The type of alluring seductress who would purchase anything off the home shopping network just to get her hands on those FREE steak knives!!!

A very spine chilling write; one almost certain to have all of mankind peaking over their shoulders at the basin.

Your streak of vengeance continues........

Thank you so much... A compliment indeed.
Very strong message indeed!
You have rightly described it. This is really an anthem for the strong, clever women who have dealt with abuse boldly and successfully.
Whatever be the type of abuse, the anger and aggression against the culprits would always be same. If only all the women of societies get the strength and power to deal such abuse, it can end.
Your message is strong and clear. The words carried the same sharpness of the blade in curtly scribing the message in blood sending shivers to the perpetrators.
Kudos to you for writing this powerful write!
Keep sharing. Keep inspiring.

Loved this piece of work, Misty!

It's ironic timing that I managed to read this piece here and now -- I've been reading older works of literature for a class that I'm taking, and in them, you see that while men held the power on the surface, the women were the true power behind the curtains; cunning, witty as could be over brutish men.

I really did enjoy this work. Wouldn't change a thing. :)

*Cheers* That guy got what was coming to him! In a completely metaphorical sense, of course. It'll be a great day when men find they can no longer force their wills onto women. They have every right to pull out the old knife every once in a while. Message aside, the poem itself was intriguing and well-paced. I had just enough time to question and think, and then she stabbed a dude. Always a plus.

By the way, I'm still anxiously awaiting the release of "The Devil's New Disguise". Not to rush you or anything.

I like the metaphor. It's so important for women to be able to stand up for themselves and leave a bad relationship. I think the connection the "stabbing" and cutting someone out of your life is very clever.

"It's a metaphoric statement for clever women... and anthem, not of actual murder, of course, I do not condone that, for then the woman becomes the abuser, herself." ~ thanked God you said those words or else I'll be dreaming this scene at night!
