Life of a Teenager

 

Sometimes I think about how hard of a life a teenager goes through. No girlfriend, many friends which you can barely trust, joked by many because of the spots in my face, or because the hair is to big, or because I can't speak with a girl without embarrassing her...


Everyday, I walk to school, with this thought in my mind - "Another nightmare, another day of school and I know that I will be joked again!" - I live my life with the fear of never being able to be someone as great as you are.


My father once told me that, I have to believe in myself if I want to be, and I also have to work hard. Since my life experience since primary school, I didn't have many friends, well... I never had so many friends but one thing I know is, better is to have 2 or 3 friends who care about you and give their life for you and share their feelings with then a thousand friends who don't care if you are treated like a dog or even if you die.



I always wonder why do teenagers become bullies and why they are so cold hearted, no-one ever explained that to me, so I had to search for myself, and I came out with:

- Their lives sucks and they don't like it;
- They want power and they want to be recognized by everyone and respected, but what they don't know is that they are not respected because people like them, they are respected because people are afraid of them;
- They lost someone important or they suffer from aggression at home and so they become violent;


When I was little I used to be bullied, not physically but mentally, people said that I was no-one and I would never become a man in the future, then to all of you who said that and now that you guys are involved in drugs and crimes and I am here standing and holding you all...

" Get a life, you are still able to change and be someone like me."

I totally agree. I can't stand high school. I went through a lot of drama - and still I am. In fact, I am writing a book about high school right now because I don't believe TV shows, movies, and other novels show how two-face people are, how bad gossip really is, and how judgmental people are.
All we can do is be honest, stand up for yourself, don't care what others say, and count down the days to high school graduation.
