Sipping a cup of coffee

With nobody to ask me how I felt,

Cooking a plateful of bitterness

For nobody but myself.

 

Dreaming in the nighttime

And waking up with no one,

This, the person I used to be,

Until you came to me.

 

Sipping a cup of coffee

With you to ask me how I slept,

Cooking a plateful of my love

For both you and myself.

 

Dreaming til it’s daylight

And waking up with you by my side,

This, the person I turned to be,

Until you left me.

 

So here I am again, sipping a cup of coffee,

With nobody to ask me how I felt.

Cooking a plateful of heartbreak,

For nobody but my lonely self.

 

Nightmares in the nighttime

And waking up all alone.

good work.the difference different people make in your life when they come into your life and yet it is all not so permanent. this is very nicely told in this poem. good work just 13:)
