DEAREST JACOB

DEAREST JACOB

A Poem by Writer At 13
"

This was inspired by the story of Kara Borden and David Ludwig's tragic story but I gave it a little twist. I wrote it in a "letter" kind of way that came from the girl and sent to her love, Jacob :)

"

Dearest Jacob,

Last night, I talked to Mama,

And she told me not to go.

She said I mustn’t see you.

All she ever said was “No.”

She told me I was too young and immature

And that we shouldn’t be together

But I told her that if we would ever part,

I would live never.

She said that true love will soon come,

And I insisted it already has.

But she kept saying: “It should wait,

The love you now have, it just wouldn’t last.”

She wouldn’t listen to me

All she ever heard was her own words,

All she said were the things she wanted

The things that caused me hurt

Don’t worry Jacob,

I finally made her stop.

Yet I do not really know

If she was convinced or what.

But it went like this:

I saw a knife and it made me think of you

I stabbed her at the back

For I really do love you.

Never worry, Jacob.

I talked to Mama last night.

I said “I’m Sorry”

And I think she’ll be alright.

To the teens, please don't do the same thing. :D I just made something that I think is emotional for my entry. Haha. :D Thanks a lot!
