Misapprehension Of Love

Misapprehension Of Love

A Poem by

I have a misapprehension of love.
I view it as an emotion that soars above,
It selects two people who are perfect for each other,
Two people who will never find another.
It blooms between all hate and pain,
Until all that's left is Love's reign.
This emotion, so powerful, is the best feeling of them all,
Until you've seen that love is a deathly masked ball. . .

From the outside, love appears to be the perfect life,
But from the inside, love is the heart and mind in strife.
The quickness of its fading is painful beyond comprehension.
Soon the love will fade along with it's spiritual connection.
Love will drown the soul in emotional agonizing pain.
It'll take and take and take until you completely drain.
It makes you feel as if you've been pushed and shoved.
I have a misapprehension of love.

Wow! Jungian view on love here.
I adore the first half, and fear the second half. Personally, both are stances on love are true...I feel a continuation to your discovery of love is in order.
