Recovery

Recovery

A Poem by

Scars and burns,
No concerns.
Not broken,
Just bent.
Toxic scent,
Worst spoken.

Let your heart beat,
Strong as concrete.

Recovery in your eyes,
Happiness a surprise.
Years away from the blades,
Surrounded by lighter shades,
Darkness disappears,
Regaining lost years,
No more invisible tears.
