True Love Drowned

Rewrite

I found beauty in her translucent eyes.

I knew that our love would fly the skies.

The first kiss I placed on her cheek

Brought my happiness to it's peak.

Until the day that darkness transformed.

Dark tentacles encapsulated and swarmed.

All my smiles turned to frowns

As my true love drowned. 

Author's Note

I wrote this after my cat died, who I had for about ten years. He had a very bloody death and it was just so sad.... I'll miss him.
