Secret

Secret

A Poem by
"

A poem about trust, and the pressure of a legendary secret.

"

A defeaning secret

Is swallowed by my goodwill

But how long may I keep this message

Imprisoned?

Trapped along my thin lips

Wrapped up in fear

I cannot slip this note to you

Instead, I walk the dusty road

With a heavy board of gossip strapped onto my heart.

You may never fully understand

My ways of loyalty

But respect my wishes, for they keep you safe

From the dangers of people and their cruelty

For I know that if I whisper

This message swiflty into the soul who hears it;

An all out war of betrayal will pour

My nervous lips, now a crying quiver

The hunter of the match stabbing me with bloodred guilt

Accompanied by his sword.
