Keep your Head High

Keep your Head High

A Poem by
"

We all need something to wake up for. Without hope, life is worth it.

"
Whatever happened to me
Always topping the bar?
It seems as though I dazzled
By reality, I need a wake up call
I am always determined
Constantly trying my best
With anything and everything
I give it my heart and soul...
But in return, what do I get?
I'm ashamed of my timid behavior
Always peeking inside a cloud
In reality I could make a difference
I have creative potential.
I can feel it pulsing through my veins
And if I was given the chance
I would blow your circuits to shreds
If only I was looked at for a second glance
But for now, I'm falling down an endless pit
Of reality
Scared to find myself in a dead end
Wrapped in failure, a tragedy.
For now, I keep my head high
Hoping for the best
Scouting the Earth for hopes to cling to
Without getting to rest
Determination is just that, right?
Leaving your spare life
Giving it up for a sacrifice
Faith on the line
Feeding the dream all the time
But I can't lose feeling
I have to keep believing
Before I'm a goner
Oh, and and won't be too long until....
I succeed.

Author's Note

My grades are plummeting so low it is unbelievable! I was devastated, so I wrote this new poem to shed off some rage. Comment on what you think of it!

Cheer up Eve! Like you have said in your poem

"For now, I keep my head high
Hoping for the best
Scouting the Earth for hopes to cling to
Without getting to rest
Determination is just that, right?"

just keep your head held high. You can overcome those things. I'm just glad that out of that frustration, you made a very good poem that is just beautiful. Isn't that a blessing in disguise? So surely, it won't be too long until you succeed. :D
