Twilight Glory

Twilight Glory

A Poem by

Peering over
The exotic meadows
Telling stories
Casting skillful shadows
Waterfall pounding
It wakes my senses
Butterflies flicker
Their wings, a crescent
A canopy of flowers
The aroma of pine
Magnificent sunset
It sends shivers down my spine
I inhale
Breathing in the lands beauty
Witnessing nature
So relaxing...my eyes get droopy
My body now limp
A crusade of song
The waves silently motion
That this is where I belong.

I like the place you described in your poem. Nice to find a place free of city and a lot of people. I like the desire and places you took me in the poem. Thank you for the excellent poem.

This has both beauty and comfort...dreaming on the edge of twilight...

I love the structure of your short lines...wish I were writing like this in high school!
