No Place for Respect

No Place for Respect

A Poem by
"

This is a poem I wrote off the top of my head.

"

You never show respect

So why should I give it back

You think you are like a master

When all you do is cause disasters

I come home and I am really hungry

But there is no food because you waste the money

You would rather buy cigarettes than gasoline

So you raise your voice and make gestures that are obscene

I come home and try to shower

Because we don't have TV and I need to waste an hour

I turn the knob and all I see are drips

You didn't pay the water bill yet again

I go to the fridge and the light won't come on

I slaamed it shut because the light was gone

I flip the switch and the bulb stays still

Why can't you just pay the bills

But in your mind that is stupid

In your mind we are not losing

You would rather do nothing and let us suffer

I'll hate you always you mother ******

Wow...That was really powerful and straight-forward. It's true that it's hard to respect someone who doesn't respect you back...You've shown something really nice here. Well done!
