This poem is so wonderful :) It's even better for me because I have just taken up a new hobby: researching Greek myhtology, Roman mythology--and Norse, too. It is all so fascinating! I read all about Hestia (or Vesta) and this whole poem struck me as really cool.

I love the wording here. The name I recognized but since I am senile at times I wasn't sure exactly who Hestia was/is until I took a moment to remember mythology. Anyway I am not going to go off into a ramble here. This was blended well with shades of wonder only you know how to manipulate.

"Her heart burned also eagerly
And the sparks danced in circles
She didn't need to provoke"
A interesting poem. The spark of fire can overtake you and leave nothing left. I like the tale in the poem. I did like the closing line. Hard to stay pure when trouble with the thoughts of man. No weakness in the outstanding poem.

I must research her. The myths allow us to wander to times of wonder and mystery.

Hestia/Vesta is one of my favourite goddesses in Greek mythology - she doesn't get all the glory like the twelve Olympians, but is always present, quiet and unassuming... but always exuding warmth. This poem had that warmth, that same cosiness. I absolutely loved it! :)
