~ The Dreamer  vs. The Strategist

Strategic steps walk through dreamlike images

Surreal chase makes reality a lifetime goal

Whispers of forgotten times piercing the here and now

As I just want to be back in the days where half was whole

Moving forward but against all what is possible

Glitter and glamour are just spectrums of lost vanity

Reality is a mean kind of history, as it always turns the past

Days way back in time, shall be crossed by destiny

Left I see ugly buildings right I see nature

All in between lays in the figurative me

Black turns Blue when summer arrives

Literally drained away in the sea of thoughts with thee

The immense power of telepathic awareness

Pawns push politely forward, into the wrong squads

As horses jump on green summer grass

Where Kings and Queens already loved in maths

However all is so relative, as like cleverness made difficult

Many shall follow their justice in their visions

As for me right and wrong is a surreal spectrum

But my thoughts are different from many decisions

Reality is always moving forward. The past always behind. The now is hovering somewhere in the middle and dreams are like a paintbrush that wishes to paint tomorrow with yesterdays happiness. To be whole again is recapture that bit of past that made us happy. But dreams are not reality, and what transpires is for us to experience for the first time... Unsure, and unsteady. Yes, Eli, you ARE a puzzle, but you are so interesting that even if every thought of this is wrong, you ultimately made me think, an conjure images and ideas. And for that, I thank you.

I love this! I love how it reads in rhythm with the tongue reading your words and moving in mouth. Beautiful. Great seasonal poem too. :)

Wow, this is a very clever write! I really like the surreal theme to it. And my favorite lines are "The immense power of telepathic awareness
Pawns push politely forward, into the wrong squads
As horses jump on green summer grass
Where Kings and Queens already loved in maths" That is brilliant! Adn I LOVE the picture you use. You're beautiful!

This is interesting, I have some similar feelings of late, so I identified with this piece.Right and wrong can be so gray, especially when it comes to making our own life choices, which have so far-ranging consequences. Too bad it is not as simple as having a magic 8 ball and receiving an objective, but dependable answer. Instead we sense vague answers, usually of the type "not today." And so we struggle to find the right for us within our flawed self, not always an easy task.

They both have their good and bad points, do the dreamers and the strategists. But, it is poets such as yourself that allows these two worlds to collide and merge, face their particular dilemmas head on, and fade into a quiet sunset...Spectacular read.

Two sides of the spectrum. A constant battle. I have this same problem. The worlds of dreams and realism can throw us for a loop. I tend to think it is more interesting that way. Being a puzzle is great. You never know which piece is going where sometimes but the end result is quite a masterpiece and lovely.

Don't you love when half as much was twice as good? When the glass was at the very least half full vs half empty?

"Whispers of forgotten times piercing the here and now
As I just want to be back in the days where half was whole"

I really enjoy your deeps thoughts on the page of the moment. It's just not going to mean the same thing to everyone because of the vast depth but emotionally without the thoughts inspired between the lines I feel connectivity.
This is an interesting thought about fate for me.

Reality is a mean kind of history, as it always turns the past
Days way back in time, shall be crossed by destiny"

I feel like we are what we eat and breathe...Thanks for getting my brain in motion...you know you always do that don't you? This one gets an A...

Oh, I want a surreal spectrum. I'm gonna be a good boy until xmas and santa might bring me one :-)
As for the rest of your words.....You are a perfect puzzle and perfectly puzzling. I think if I read this a thousand times i will only scrape the surface of meanings within this wonderfullyconstructed puzzle. This will certainly be getting revisited.
