Strategic steps walk through dreamlike images

Surreal chase makes reality a lifetime goal

Whispers of forgotten times piercing the here and now

As I just want to be back in the days where half was whole

 

Moving forward but against all what is possible

Glitter and glamour are just spectrums of lost vanity

Reality is a mean kind of history, as it always turns the past

Days way back in time, shall be crossed by destiny

 

Left I see ugly buildings right I see nature

All in between lays in the figurative me

Black turns Blue when summer arrives

Literally drained away in the sea of thoughts with thee

 

The immense power of telepathic awareness

Pawns push politely forward, into the wrong squads

As horses jump on green summer grass

Where Kings and Queens already loved in maths

 

However all is so relative, as like cleverness made difficult

Many shall follow their justice in their visions

As for me right and wrong is a surreal spectrum

But my thoughts are different from many decisions

Reality is always moving forward. The past always behind. The now is hovering somewhere in the middle and dreams are like a paintbrush that wishes to paint tomorrow with yesterdays happiness. To be whole again is recapture that bit of past that made us happy. But dreams are not reality, and what transpires is for us to experience for the first time... Unsure, and unsteady. Yes, Eli, you ARE a puzzle, but you are so interesting that even if every thought of this is wrong, you ultimately made me think, an conjure images and ideas. And for that, I thank you.

Beautiful clever write Elisa , where half was whole and the game of chess ,often that's what life is . Caught up in our dreams and the reality and we are more than the sum of our parts. I will return to this it's thought provoking.

amazing how every word has special stress and power and it fits to the whole structure! i liked the color green, the dreamer is awaken always, no matter how much the strategist wins. World is combination of controversies...Lovely poem, ELi!

The dreamer vs. The Strategist leads one to wonder where this will go. The back and forth between those two ideas is wonderful. The second to last paragraph gives me a scene of a chess match that indulges my love of Wonderland. This may be only my take, but I loved it nonetheless.
