~ Paris with Him

~ Paris with Him

~ Paris with Him

I felt obvious a lady how he treated me

When I walked with him on the Champs-Élysées

The colors of the crowd were neutral,

But our love yet so hungry like the smell of fresh coffee

And the fresh baked  croissants across the street corners

It made our love more than vividly alive...

A glimpse of some street artists,

And accordion players with their delightful music

Made me relive the days of the past

I felt the romance in it’s pure forms, that night

As the cars drove too fast as we missed their slightly sight

Standing there with you underneath the Arc de Triomphe

Feeling your arms around me and your wondeful eyes,

Your dark hair as always dances in the wind

And your glimpse of love is the hottest of mankind

I can drown in the arms that are you filled with trust

The way you fulfill me is like a thousand summers long

The gift of handle my freedom, is rich in you my man, a must

This is smoothly breathtaking! I felt it's every word together in splendid form and perfect structure, telling such a rich story of two in a moment to last forever. It left me a little speechless and comforted in a gasping physical moment wrapped up in a love that fully satisfies the soul. Lovely! This has me in air. X :)

Beautiful... so lyrically compose. A delight to read.

I have one about Paris and love; He serenaded me with tales of Paris... then went without me. We never saw each other again though.

It made our love more than vividly alive... -- I love the way that you use the idea of "neutral colors" and yet follow them with such strongly sensory elements like the scent of coffee and croissants.

Once again, you have managed to transport me to a place and time; you have made me feel what you feel as your words dance to their own delicate and poignant steps. Such a love...a pure and blissful love that absolutely eclipses all else leaving nothing but two souls forever connected to each other, to moments, to memories and desires. Well done, my friend.

I like the phrase "slightly sight" even though I don't really know what you mean? I've just been in Paris and your poem reminded me of the accordion players we heard on the metro! We also had some come down our street right near the Arc de Triomphe (but they were more of the aggressive - throw us some money type).

Lovely lyrics...
So much atmosphere, I feel as though I'm in a Cafe in Paris sipping coffee and having a croissant...watching a lovely couple in love enjoy their time together. Love the music, this read is elegant and so the picture of you Elisa. Full of wonder, class and artistic chic. I could stay here and linger forever. Magnifique my sweet friend. J' adore.
