~ The Woman of Dust

It was the last time she danced

Full of passion and emotion

Her eyes filled with sparkles,  she glanced

The evening was loaded

As she was liberated...

As a red orchid flower she moved

Along the stage so elegant secure

She bloomed so purely

I was there…

In Amsterdam’s Carré,

It was her last dance,

She moved as if she could die

As if her life could stop…

The bliss she felt over the years,

As a true dancer came to an end…

Now she would be remembered

As the Woman of Dust…

A true Legend

Gorgeous, I can picture her moving across the stage displaying every part of her soul for her audience to see. I have always been deeply moved and entranced by dancers ever since I was a small child. It really is true, "dancers are the messengers of the Universe." Amazing job :)

A truly beautiful capture of a moment. A straightforward story, but handled with such class and poise it is sheer artistry. Right at this minute, I don't care how good you are. I don't care how precisley you have formed each line into a sublime [erfection. I don't care about the way you generate imagry and ideas with a handful of words. I simply don't care. Becasue you have entranced me and placed me under the spell of the moment. For this I am in your debt.

Wow, I could hear music in my head when reading that,
"she moved as if she could die
as if her life could stop"
vivid and gripping :)

Ahhh...this one is loaded, it was like a movies coming to a climax and then sliding down the other side, an entire life in a few simple lines. Cinematic in scope and color, loved it.

Oh my, what a tender cord this struck with me. Marvelous is the metaphor of dancers being comparable with messengers of the Universe. The line about the red orchid is vivid beyond compare. Also lovely is the purity with which she bloomed. But she lived...truly...and then she died...gracefully... The image is so awesome as well. Brilliant work to be remembered...
