...Look, and thou shalt see...

~ Mirrored

Sheer reflection seen, in the distance,

Eyes wide open, wings spread wide

You saw me coming,

         From a thousand spring times,

                   Waiting there down the river,

I never believed, I could be alive again,

To breathe after so many lifetimes, of death~

But you gave me the hope,

To kill this purgatory

Where I’d wait for hell, too long,

Now in this realm, it all starts, whilst I’m gone

And so you will live, be there,

All with a drop of silence

    Mirrored through me, with me

Welcome to Elysion, my love,

           Feel at home…

It might feel as if looking into a mirror whilst looking into another's eyes and seeing their soul. There is similarity, yet a divergence, certain parts of opposition that come together to create completion, unison, and it is most powerful. You blend colors in the chamber of the heart. It is there forever, the entrance to your infinite land of Elysion, always accessible, and a shared home, ever reaching for the ones you love.. The whole time, I sensed the journey of a butterfly, a revival, and so a new beginning. It's as if someone showed the way, but it truly starts with one's own strength of mind, or heart.. I feel embraced every time I come here. It's just that vibe of yours.. xx

No worries lovely Steve, take your time... poetry is timeless. :) ((HUGS)) -x-
Such a way you have, Elisa. My sis' certainly knows how to...

Your way, the way. I admire it, and I am glad I can, at whim, glance at your way through your conveying of such.

Thank you dear Rachel, a pleasure to have you by. Glad you enjoyed! :)
Wow! I got captivated, moved by the charm of this poem or rather I'd say, the charm of your words. I don't quite know how I'd be able to interpret the 'meaning' of this poem but the emotion I felt after reading this, I'd describe it as a surreal yet subtle feeling of peace, like the warmth of safety and care even in the midst of my deepest insecurities and depressions. This is perhaps one of those rare occasions where my words (reviews/critiques) will never do justice in complementing what you wrote but the emotion your words invoke is something that will always be remembered and rippled...

Suddenly transported into one of those scenes by Claude Monet "The water lily Pond". Where there is a certain glowing of time and also as if someone had managed to make time go slower. And as I am unwinding I am let to know that there is a sense of expectancy for someone that is coming back home and that the feelings are exposed by the reflection of them.

Mirroring has never been this gentle

Thankyou

Terima kasih nyong Edward, means much to me, thanks for your time and visit. :)
it is said that we never truly can see ourselves, even if we look in the mirror because we are merely a reflection of what we see; the perceiver is looking beyond the mirror here and the relection of the inside is beautifully and eloquently stated as well as claimed

Wink, great review, new friend, I do like your interpretation... :) I'll be back for you...
It took all night for me to properly address this poem. The magnitude of freedom becomes shown.. unconditional love. Many reads and feeling my way through has brought me to this.

Abstractly I see the mountains and the river mirrored by the poem. The openings of another side or perhaps something more. A very doorway to your heart. I feel. There I find comfort in your peace. The words to say from your words. The moments in your time.

The echoes that make their way through lifetimes and eternities.

The ways in which you capture human emotion are stunning, my friend. Sometimes when I'm feeling a little sad and lonely, or like I'm not worthy of something, I'll read your poems because they make me smile again. You truly have such a beautiful mind. Ah, if only I could sit down with you and talk for just five minutes, then breathing a lifetime of death would indeed be worth it. I hope your light shines bright for quite some time.
