A Poem by
"

Soon, we leave, yes, soon my dear...

"

~ Soon

We are blinded by all the violence,

Our sense of longing begs for a warmer place,

Where we will grow and will expand

In galore - with trust and love

For the darkness in here - soon we leave behind us.

When our sun rises, and the mist is gone;

I will take your hand, and we shall be free.

We will run over snow covered mountains,

With not much we shall survive,

For we have all we need

“Soon, my dear

            Soon”.

The romantic longing and hope for the future together in this poem has an innocent, nearly youthful, feel to it. To leave behind the turmoil and the negative thinking of those who might not approve and just run off into the sunset...where love will be all you need. Such a lovely thought! I liked the free feeling of this one. Lydi**

i find this not just love between two people but love of humanity, a longing to get away from violence...this world is so violent right now...

we really need some years of peace....wonder if that will ever happen..

this poem gives me a sense of hope.

Thank you jacob, you've got me well, on what I tried to convey here. :)
I've missed you in the time I've been away, and I've missed your poetry which never fails to be majestic and sensitive...this piece truly spoke to me, it says much about the duality of the human, and our penchant for very good things and very bad things...the final stanza left me uplifted and optimistic, which are not emotions that come naturally to me...lovely work as always dear sis :) xo

I enjoy this, as it's almost a "Bonnie and Clyde" vibe. That the drama and complications need to be left behind and we can just rely on one another. That is true peace. Adding to favorites, as I can relate to this very much so.

At the beginning of the poem I interpreted that is about persons that live in a crowded city and they want to go to the suburbs to spend quality time away from the clutter that might be distracting their happiness.
