~ Impermanent

 

The shimmer on the ceiling,

       Made her eyes sleepy,

If water waves reflection danced

       Quiet circles,  further in her mind,

 

Gently hypnotize

       Of her many thoughts

Emptying her memory

       Feeding the flourishing  fate

 

Dragged by bright rays

      Quiet dreams

In larger dimension

      Of her so elected tunnel

 

But impermanent, was her memory

      Dreamed of hues in mystery,

She never knew what happened,

      Until the day began,

 

Until the day began,

      Anew, and anew…

And for so many years,

     Like the time stood still…

This is so beautiful, in a range of ways that I struggle to express by the use of words. I'm crying... You know the reason... Sigh :')

You were let into someone else's field of flowers, someone's personal experience and reality. You accepted what was shown with an open core, and that of which you perceived you turned into art. Truth cannot be understood before it is felt, and the heart needs no proof. However, I do believe there's a subconscious reason to your fast acceptance on the matter at hand, certainly.

Gosh... I can think of no greater present to be given by a friend, than one of such immense trust and creativity.

Thank you so very much, for your kindred soul, my sweet friend, and your words towards this very special poem for a very special friend... it made me travel through the brilliant mind, my friend has, and I experienced these words from out of the car, in a mix of feelings, and fiction. You are so right, about the Truth, that cannot be understood before it's felt. I felt this truth... I'm so glad I could write from out of the bottem of my heart again, for those are so meant... You draw an interesting yet sinister picture deep, deep inside, as my eyes poured over these lines. Come "Like the time stood still" I was scratching my head. I decided to read again and then it descended upon me. More like "arose" from the subliminal sketching - perforating through to the conscious - from deep yes, deep inside. I realised that this, like the apt title, is truly impermanent. Time, I learnt from here, appears to be unmoving... as the pictures painted by dreams remain incomprehensible while fading before the "eyes".. it feels horrible to watch them go.. it's only momentary, helpless.. resistance is futile, pleas in vain.. this is how I register these beautiful words.. such a lovely poem.. thanks immensely for sharing :)

your poems.. I'm not sure if it's just me.. I'm gedn.. your poems are just so.. their underlying fabric paint pictures that are surprisingly straightforward! The superficial ones are but SO symbolic.. You have this rare ability sort of like a super poet to encompass a Universe in a poem.. (and I don't think that you're even aware: ) What can't you visualise through these words? pain? enlightenment? sorrow? contentment? anxiety? anticipation? disappointment? never ends.. And it's all effacing.. beliefs out the window, and something dances into your mind from the future.. your welcome Eli dude.. I'm glad you write :)

you're all the more welcome Eli dude :) I always feel lighter, a tad exuberant, invigorated.. revved up when I read good stuff.. every writer is unique.. somehow your poems (but) just stand out mate, like my friends on wc - I'm very selective (friends) than not :)
that is writing.. about reviewing,
people perceive works of art in their own myriad ways.. I'm no different.. But I have to admit that I'm selfish with no reservation-in my observations.. speculations.. in that I hypothesise with the essence.. I found that most reviewers look for straightforward meanings in art.. somehow, what I see is only the essence, the effect.. a former girl friend used to call me "effected".. yes I am, comfortably effected by your words amigo.. that is my calling and nirvana :) peace

This has a dreamlike quality that makes me imagine that this poem is spoken by an angelic voice, or someone magically entranced. I like the word choice in the lines "Emptying her memory/Feeding the flourishing fate". "But impermanent, was her memory/Dreamed of hues in mystery" are also brilliant lines though I think the the rhyme was a bit awkward in a free verse poem. Anyway, that's just a personal opinion. I admire the piece in its entirety. Gorgeous last stanza.
