 Light in the Sky

Stabbing metal pain,

      Burning through each line

Of my so cold body -

      The smell of ozone,  far away,

Misty,  mighty grand dense clouds

      In front of my train of thought

And a rail of blindness ;

     Cold chilly Icy wind,

The smell of ozone, yet behind

      Thunderstorms are on the way

Within this core of being;

      There is light in the Sky,

For those who are

     In deep pain,

And for those who are just feeling

To be in tune with nature and to feel the change of weather before it occurs, a lightening before it strikes.. Being highly sensitive is not to be weak. On the contrary, it lets you perceive more than the ones who are not. It allows for you to more easily make out an entirety rather than a snippet, whilst aware there is more than meets the eye.

You express sympathy, comfort, togetherness.. by the end it is evident. It has its highs and lows to be a feeler, as with everything. Your hurt is my hurt is everyone's hurt, and I am reminded of "Powder", his wisdom and the suffering he had to endure prior to and during every thunderstorm. You describe a powerful sensing here, of what is and what is to come.

Next to fear there is love, a yin and yang for balance. You stand in between duality with a tentacle to each side that lets you sense both planes, similar to a butterfly, receptive as an antenna.. All is accessible to everyone. We're no different and there is beauty in that, in everything, whether it'd be considered negative, it is fuel for the inner artist.

Your writing is always exceedingly deep. It's fantastic, a pleasure to read and examine :)) xx

Thank you for the beautiful thoughts, here Paddy! :) very very appreciated. Elisa :)
This read as the calm before the storm. What an eerie write from you. I loved it... it was the realization of negativity upon us... and the comfort in that cold, dark realization. Your pen is still on fire, my friend.

Sad, ethereal, yet down to earth, you bring forth so many emotions when you write sweet Eli, there's a darkly hue'd vulnerability in this somber piece, yet a light of hope that shines through at the same time...music is sheer perfection too. Painfully gorgeous cara. x

Elisa, my good friend!! I always, always enjoy your poetry, and this one is no exception! As sad and somewhat disturbing as the words are, I find them inspiring in a way.

I especially like the refrain of "The smell of ozone, far away" and "The smell of ozone, yet behind," which help to tie the theme together. Although I certainly sense that this has something to do with inner turmoil, or chaos (which is a little upsetting).

Nonetheless, whether happy, sad, chaotic, or just reflective, I really do enjoy and feel inspired by reading your poetry. It's a pleasure to be allowed into your world.

The smell of ozone with clouds in your eyes, and pain all around... This makes me feel like the head of a thundercloud, drowned by my own sound, my own lightening splitting me in two... Is this what a migraine feels like Sis? I love the way you describe this, and the ozone... The ozone makes me feel so lightheaded...
