~ Along the River

I stared, for hours;

Until I felt a warm hand

On my shoulder,

     So I turned around

To catch a glimpse of your face,

A fragment of touch;

     And I saw nothing,

Not even you, but you were there,

I knew we traveled to Japan,

     It was another river,

     Another air;

On the “Shinano”

We are and stare...

While the Sun arises

    In a golden light,

And the day would come soon,

     You just touched

           A bit of the so

Silver  moon.

My Dearest Eli,
You know how I feel about the Sun... transcending a warm touch like no other...

There is gentle eloquent voice carried within each line of your narrative, which brings me to a place of solace.

There are people who never die, never fade, never become nothing - they are, in spirit, in mind, in the heart. Your poem holds that firmly, mystically and with complete comfort. And the sun spreads its light, the moon shares its cloak and the touch just.. is.

I loved all, the poem the sweet sound of memory, the photo and music...Giving me warm feeling in the cold days of winter. Your soul is connected so much with the spirit of nature and all love and memories are revealed in the view of nature...River is the flow of the changing life, sometimes clear, sometimes with dust or mud, watching the moving waters is really calming senses and bring us to higher level of understanding. Water is everywhere...You allow your mind to be open to the past and future and that how all energies and emotions flow in it! I love this poem-piece!

Very calm and soothing write here Elisa and the music just blends it all together.....you know those tranquility musics you can lay down and listen too well with your poetry here and the music you can almost envision your poem take a life of it's own.....Extremely creative and well written .... thank you for sharing dear :)

I love how you hold your memories like a glowing aura around your soul.
You pen loss with the grace and quietness of a river flowing in a perfectly deep channel.
There is still a purpose and a connection to the moments that have washed downstream...
Always connected...

Lovely heartfelt poetry Eli.

I bow with respect before the poetic beauty of the Baroness. ;)

I've felt many hands on my shoulders over the years, only to turn around and see nothing most of the time. I know you're there, my dear friend, yet nothing is all that I see. I can only imagine the presence of friends under these circumstances. Words are all I have: they are the only things that make me feel alive, and the only things that assure me that the nothing I see is only in the flesh. I desperately want to visit Japan someday, but I'll never have the money to fly overseas or do much of anything beyond my country. I always wonder how it would affect my writing. But it has done wonders for you sis...I'm always happy to see how you translate those feelings of movement into words. They are always beautiful. Great work as always dear sis...love always (((hugs))) :)

I do thank you darling... wishing you a great weekend too, much love! talk soon x
You have such poetry in your words, which I know sounds redundant since this is a poem, but the words you chose and the settings you set, they're always so beautiful and majestic. You articulate your feelings in such a way that it always comes across as soft and reassuring. Beautiful write with lovely images.

You are very welcome, madam!
There is an otherworldly feel to this one...a mystical spell is cast by your words and that haunting melody you chose to accompany your words. You stand there and you feel someone’s presence....perhaps someone who is no longer on this earth or someone you long to be with once again. In any case, the beauty is powerful.....just so lovely. Filled with hope and celestial beauty. Knuffels, Lydi**
