Filled with hope for something better after leaving this world. Who really knows? Some believe what they learn in church or synagogue. Others are not so certain. Have we lived before and were we with our one true soulmate in that life too? Perhaps. Maybe that is why we are drawn to one particular person in this life. Who really knows? I read the review above, vampires uh, I actually imagined an old traveler who toured the world with his/her beloved over the years, but somehow he/she disappeared but now it is evident the emptiness in the heart without that loved person

There must be something more beyond this mortal coil. Your poem reminds us of that. It is beautiful because it contains a grain of hope that will turn into a pearl of wisdom.
