There is a cold sharp wind

 

Short days of light,

Move too quickly

Around the axis,

 

At least it seems so,

The days go so much

Faster then I keep track.

 

Where I walk,

The sun shines,

A soft and

Misty gleam,

 

Above the cold water,

Like a blanket,

To hold it warm, and

Extend the season…

 

Trees feel lost, and

Are tired and powerless,

 

I imagine myself in their

Fallen leaves,

Hiding there

For a while,

 

To feel me warmer.

This poem painted a vivid and beautiful picture in my mind. It took me on a "mental vacation". I love the way the words flow together. I think the format you used for the words was perfect. This poem relies a lot on imagery, yet it still has a lot of emotion. It is mysterious and complex, yet it still has a simplicity to it. A gorgeous and wonderfully written poem!

Thanks, I am fine, but lonely at times without a companion in my life. It would be nice to find a life partner and someone I could really depend on and trust for once. I enjoy my solitude at times though because it allows me to just be me.

I understand perfectly what you mean.... I truly hope you find more luck, and that life smiles more to you... soon.... (being alone can be wonderful)... though, got you there ;)

Yes, it does and that is why it is so hard to possess at times. Sometimes, mine is very heavy with sadness because I miss my missing part. Time heals, but there are still little tears and leaks. Staying positive is what I strive for to make my own happy life.

It takes a while to get there, but you will.... (baby-steps) and a mind as strong as yours, will get you there... I'm sure of it :)

That's wonderful! I personally can't wait until the snow comes here... I love it. Hiking with my snowboots on, and taking pictures... all that white reflects always beautifully when it are darker days... :)
