~ The Dragonfly dreamt Me

 

Dark waters, deathly dehydrated,

By the arid light of the devils Moon,

A glimpse of grey-turquoise, transformed

Originated by blue and green,

              The changing incidence of the light,

              Daylight, was to come, too soon!

 

And so I rested upon a wet broken branch,

In this forbidden land,

The glossy maple leaves,

              Reflected just one star;

              I saw you, shining upon this water,

With these quadruple wings, from afar

 

Tired, but ever safe here in this land,

A moment, of peace merged

With water, wood, some sand…

 

I did entered your dream,

Where you gave me your visions…

               The world felt home, through

                Light transmissions,

 

A mood of gentle euphoria,

Glided slowly through our thin veins,

Where we became a Dragonfly;

            Four eyes of passion,

            Seen through two, never to extinct,

Love in rest for a life-time,

On this quiet lakeside interlinked ~

This is surreal, Ovid-esque. A great meditation on beauty and escape from our corporeal monotony. The dragonfly dreaming you as the vehicle for your dream as the dragonfly is brilliant. Metaphysical, the lines dance and brim with aesthetic bliss, but it's the spaces in-between that tempt of something ethereal, religious. The one-ness of everything. Loved it.

I can't thank you enough for your review this time Thaddius, you felt it... I felt it, I dreamt this, while I was been dreamt, and wrote it quite soon after in a scribblish way out on paper. Then this came out, of the unconciousness... your reviews, are brilliant. :)

Oh, I'm going to write it out series...soon...tonight...um, after laundry lol...I've delving to many emotions...but I haven't written romance in a Long Time. :)

Lol how many should I write? How many do you want me to write, Elisa? 16 or 20? Romance is a lost art, with society all about sex, and even they can't get that right...it's wham bam it happen so fast,there's no thank you ma'am...I grew up to ladies wearing lingerie and neglige...the essence of sex before the act....Sooo let me see if I can find my romantic hat...The world needs...ROMANCE. :)

Oh I remember you telling me that before, the "world needs Romance" yes.... and the way you grew up, is fantastic. (Many men in Italy did too, I can speak out of experience). So nothing weird, with that. He he, I would be surprised to see you writing that genre, I bet you can rock it!!! :) P.s. the world needs both ;) in the right balance :D

Oh and you should write a series, as long as your Romantic heart ink finish :) I can't say you the numbers :) for I'm not the one who can look into the future he he, lol, well sometimes I can ha!

I always find dragonfly's are relative of the dragon species, smiles,... Like a dragon, dreaming of this little fella, I find it a strong sign of good will to strive more for the better...

I find the first stanza really haunting:

"Dark waters, deathly dehydrated,
By the arid light of the devils Moon"

~ but as you read through, and go along with the feelings of the poem, You'll see the light transmission, guiding, gliding like a dragonfly, seeing the Love at rest, at moment in blissful silence...

The connection of souls...I never tire of this concept, especially when it is done so beautifully. The way that you wove together the idea of the dragonfly and the wetlands, the other world becoming reality, if only for a short time...brilliant.
