~ The Cottage Garden 

 

Here in my Cottage, 

On  September mornings,

The squirrels are searching

       For fallen acorns from the trees,

       There is a mystic beauty that

       Shines so softly through the green,

There is a mist that swirls the rain,

From out of the undergrowth,

There is no time with me around

       I smell the fresh clean air,

       Where I come to rest, and sleep,

       There is no pain, stress or fear,

       Within this area, where I hear the lyre,

Long corn fields surround me

Like arms of the forgotten fields,

Days, and nights so quiet,

Love travels with me, 

For the richer yields

     There where I find peace of mind,

     There where absence is kind

I enjoyed the flow of this poem Eli. Very relaxed and open feeling. If I read it or loud , my voice lifts... Wonderful tie in with the rhyming lines as well.
The poem feels like a lucky accident of a perfect moment. Organic emotion captured and fed to the soul with you lovely assembling of words into thoughts and reflections.

Gorgeous! I love green nature, so peaceful and relaxed is there! I miss that feeling..You totally transfer me to this quiet reality, where mind and soul need to go...Any season has its special signs of awaking nature...we can feel and see how vivid and fresh is, even in deep winter..But my favorite seasons for relaxing and walking is the early autumn...so magical, dear Eli, as if I was with you! :)

~ In this world I live in... it really hard to find that peace of mind, perhaps someday I will find my way towards the kind moments of peace and tranquil light will shine my gray path... Truly, a beautiful peace big sis... hugs!

I was searching for what I missed, my brother, and I was lucky I found it for one week.... thank you so much my dear brother, for always and ever being so kind, and supportive, I can't thank you enough, I will be back, when recovered, and fully ok.... hugs little bro, I miss you so much!

To rest in the realm of dream...a dream, perhaps that has a tangible nature in this world...quite a beautiful idea. I find that your pieces are often a wisp away from bridging the gap between this world and another plane of existence where words are honey to be sipped with meals spread upon a golden table.
