~ His LifeTask

Nobody said this was easy;

Walking on a sharp rock with barren feet

You felt the wind cutting your face,

The salt of the sea, and

Those as tears on your cheeks...

Slipped further away in the subconscious

The angels shooting some arrows at you

Some transformed it as hail;

Others as rain, but the pain,

O' the pain...

It was too heavy to feel, too heavy to see

Nothing was even there anymore,

But you, alone, and alone in this misery;

In this place the most hidden place

Of the hurting chambers of your surface,

You just extended as a tiny creature,

In some skin made of some genes,

And hair that was unkempt and raw;

But you could not even care,

You were just alone and there,

Anxious and defeated, thoughts

Eating your skull and brain

Like hungry maggots crawling;

Until there's nothing more,

Then a tiny pile of human dust

And all there is left is pain and the lore...

I have left before, a lifetime;

This time I just came back for you,

Maybe to help you disappear;

But also to calm the sea, our sea,

To make those rocks a golden throne

For you to sit on reborn and free

    Welcome back my King

          Welcome back home

Wow, this took me on adventure. You always have elegance and grace. This piece has a cinematic feel to it. Although, I'm not sure who is "the king." This could be religion, could be a lover. In any case, this is an excellent write. Thank you for your creativity.

The pain of a loss never dies...all there is left is pain and the lore. I only hope to compile enough lore to eclipse the pain when my time is up. I'm in sensitive mode today so a work such as this brings me close to tears. I wish I could say more but I'm not a very good reviewer...I don't know how some people are able to respond to poems with poems of their own. Most of the time, I can only say that I like something, and that it spoke to me on a deep level. That's what this piece did. Wonderful work my sweet sis...I actually had this in my bookmarks for the longest time and forgot it was there. I just discovered it again today :) Love and hugs to you my dear Eli :) xoxo

There is pain here ..
There is beauty in this journey
Each line tells us of a life, of a death
And all we finally desire.. is to come home

I Love this .... Jasmine xoxo ♥♥

Dear sweet Elisa, I have known this profound sadness expressed by your poem today. I have felt the sharp stones tear at the skin and the arrows finding my heart...darkest days seem likely to last forever until that one break in the clouds, a bit of sun smiles and birds again sing in the trees now gathering new leaf in vibrant color. So soon the sorrow comes replaced with new offering and perhaps, one that returns so that you not stand alone. Very beautiful, you have a soft style which clings to the heart. Loved this one my friend.

I see the pain, felt it.... it's a sad emotions to carry...

Nobody said this was easy;

~ life was never easy, i know, we know.. because life is a lifetime of challeges... simple or hard, good or bad... no matter what we do live for ourselves, for love, for life itself... pain in the rain, it will passed...coz a storm is not forever there... the dawn will come, and then you'll reborn...

this is such a painful and beautifully conveyed...
i love reflecting on its beauty...
great job big sis!
