~ My Orange Moon

Thou shone so bright,

The night of full moons, in me;

Shall I ever be upon these clouds

To follow thee?

Shall I be there, when it’s that day?

Where could we mourn better,

Than with our hands folded,

On these unexpected stairway’s?

And where could I be taken?

For the days, are more beautiful

When surrounded in grey’s,

Let me absorb you in my vast body…

To observe thee, in the most occult nights,

I embrace thee with my invisible sight

Thou shall not pass, the forlorn darkness

Before I was there, I knew your light--

It was so fast, and high,

I could reach out the scale of pain,

Just to reach your top, up there--

Let me dwell in the glance of thee, fain

From a distant relieve, I shall salute,

The longer passages of time so brute,

Now wait me, for time is blank in so many forms;

And color me, through these heavy chained storms

I often feel that your poetry should be declaimed from a high podium with all the relevant gestures by an exceptional actor with a voice like burnt whisky in period costume. This is no exception. A remarkable write full of rich layers and fruity phrases.

This transported me through my memories, until I came upon December 22, 2010; the date of the lunar eclipse on the Winter Solstice. You have captured here, in resplendent detail, my exact euphoric emotions from witnessing that momentous celestial event on that night. Very well written, my friend. -slow clap-

Mystical and magical words from you in this one, Elisa. The "orange" color reminds me, of course, of Holland, but this is not about our country. The celestial tone mixed with the occult gave your words an almost eerie feel. Of course, you chose the perfect music to accompany your words once again. Through storms of night, the moon guides us. May it always guide you to pleasant places where you feel safe. Beautifully written with so much hidden between the lines. Knuffels, Lydi**

Thank you so much, my friend, for your time, and review. Very appreciated :)
You write in the landscape of dreams... I see entire worlds within your words, and you write with such an emotional hand. Your writing is not always completely technical, but it is absolutely fantastically beautiful, sublime, and truly amazing in so many ways. I really feel as though i am seeing YOU in your work, and this piece really shows me this. You are a creature from another century, another planet, perhaps. Beautiful!

There is a saying about the moon Eli..., "Red in the night sailors delight, red in the morning, sailors take warning."
You give the delight in the colorful night here Eli. A weary traveler in the sea of humanity finds hope in the signs you write in these poetic heavens...

This is filled with gorgeous imagery from start to finish.

Before I was there, I knew your light--

That is one of the most beautiful lines I have ever read. There is comfort in the color and light when the world is all gray. Another wonderful jewel from you.
