~ Tonight I Followed You

 

There was a signal, just a tiny little signal,

        Upon the water, where I sat tonight,

                It felt like an uprising aura of your soul;

        That slowly came closer,

Like a stealthy black panther

        Bringing the beat, like no one could --

                 Coming back for a moment…

        Touching my toes, putting shoes on them,

 Blindfolded I felt to dance with you

                   Tonight I Followed You,

Invisible like two teenagers, on our lake;

        You moved me like a Queen,

                  There was nothing needed 

           Anymore to be seen

As the gods not even can help, our fate,

        What can we do than follow?

                 Two steps, I was forward you

This time, you followed me,

         Two heartbeats into our rhythm

               And just one soul to see,

 

                   One soul truly free...

This is so touching and stirring to the soul. I too felt the dance that takes place here between two souls in love and in bliss. Beautifully penned. I like how you personalized this poem with...."on our lake;" This is another great masterpiece and I am glad to have read this.
