She decided to give her heart

              Back to the moon,

   Where she belonged;

           So that her heat could sizzle softly

       On this fresh skin, to be one again;

 

After being sun-baked inside

           For too many months, even years,

  And feeling over burned by the love,

              Of his tangible forged iron(ic) arms of heat.

I think that every writer feels at least some hate towards their work at at least one point. The reasons for it vary but commonly stem from being too self critical, regret writing the work and/or the inspirations, or just being at war with oneself. I am guilty of the third, but hey we all have our things about ourselves that we don't like or wish was better. Sometimes i get so worked up and pissed at myself for not writing something or not writing it better the way i planned to, only to later write something completely different that feels more like a peace gesture from my brain than a work.. Strange relationship.
Short and sweet, i had to read it over a bunch of times to finally understand it. The meaning eluded me at first. Writing can be such a refreshment, yet it can drive you mad depending on your expectations. It reminds me of how i am often confused on whether i hate my work or love it and whether i love it so much i hate it or hate it so much i love it..

Yes, that's probably it... that creepy balance, which isn't there ... mostly I'm pretty zen, but if you anger me after 3 times, I can be hell. I think it's the same with poetry. (for poetry is just me) and poetry is just you... ;)

I do wonder what it would be like to be on the wrong side of your pen.. But it is a window that i will never open. What is it with the number 3 and everything? 3 strikes, 3 signs, 3 blind mice, 3 witches, 3 everything. Is it some sort of magic number?

3 is just holy, like 7 too... all has a bad turn, in darkness...

M83 is one of my favorite artists, they make great music, and this poem was really a small speck of the amazing talent you have. I love how there's a story wrapped under the words, that sentence iron(ic) arms of heat, that was genius.

ahh... the sun and the moon, the night and the day, hot and cold - this is how we balance ourselves in terms of peotry, love and in life... when we get to hot and got burn we go to the cold to cool off... after a long noisy tiring day then the night came for you relax to its silence ambience... it's a very cool and hot concept big sis...

Yes, or moods seem to swing between these two extremes. Your poem inspired me to write this tiny gift poem for you which you may keep as your own: It's in /0/0/0/ and /0/0/ seven and five syllable meter:

Hot & Cool

Cool Selene's silver charms
woo a red hot heart
from Apollo's golden arms.
Burning love shall dart

How do I love the name Selene... :) it's no coincidence, you name this. I always thought of naming my child Selena... for it's a Spanish name, when I got a girl... (not happening yet) though lol... for we always get lost in eachothers temptation ... brilliant, how you play with words. I see through your version, a galaxy with many points to point my eye on, to focus, and to pick out.

Beautiful and hits home. We write, we feel, we sit, we think. we find that filling in the blanks is not always easy. I find I am affected by the moon, and the full is today. I can't seem to write, but I know if I let go, allow myslef to feel the moon, it will come. Very nice my friend.
