~ Deep Within Us

 

 

There lays a landscape of truth,

Just within us;

I felt it within myself today,

 

The road felt more green,

And I didn’t need so much fuel,

 

       For the road was friendly,

    And the sky had some airbags,

Smiling down, like I really could make it.

    And that Italian melody in my head…

 

Also the trees, they looked curious

Over me down the road,

 

      The immense feeling of a

         Green explosion of their light

              In speed...

 

    Some powers returned

         For I can’t remember them,

I felt too void for a long time...

 

‘t was as if I could touch

A new generation, of you,

         One of silent pleasures…

 

But maybe it was just a dream,

          One of the many who dance

          In my endless thoughts;

 

          For my thoughts are an endless river,

      And my days, do refresh me,

        By being moved;

 

To finally

     Result me there, and

             Bring me to the sea of

     Our too close borders…

It seems that the landscape within your mind all the better perceives the landscape out side of your mind at times. At those times, the sky is bluer, the grass is greener, and trees delight you as they never have before. A river of your thoughts runs through this landscape. You shall be resulted.

i like the road this one traveled...the metaphor for find the truth of who we are....

i like the use of "result" as a verb...

our thoughts and we taking that same road and ending up to a sea of "too close borders"

we often are too close to our words...but if they are not there, there is a void for sure.

Some days are just too all-knowing and too kind to let us breathe and think of the good things around us and those not-so-good things that made us the better person that we are now. Those days are rare yet craved. Because those are the days that we feel weightless, free from guilt. This is a very refreshing poem, love. A real reflection of your soul.
