~Under the Spell

 In that night;

I couldn’t  see anything,

But only feel the

The wet casings of

Dense molecules,

Formed into an emulsion

And this compactness all around me;

In that day after;

I dwelled on the surface of

Nothing, between salt, and

Sea life I was;

I heard turbid noises,

Far away an intoxication of modernity

I was one, but only one with the mass...

In the next minute;

The silent slice of life

Moved through my being,

The suffocating glamour

Of a kiss mouth to mouth;

Danced within this white hole

Of memory; for now,

I awoke on land

In the next day;

I soaked in the air, like I was an amphibian,

Delightfully graced with my second life;

This cold, like thin freedom in your lungs,

The light in your eyes; “overexposed”

But the warm arm around your neck

And the smell of ozon…

Eli dear, you have a masterful write here. I love the mystic stories. I felt like I was hearing the song of the mermaids here... Now don't eat me please. ;)

One word seemed out of place. "I awaked" might be better *I awoke*
Loved this poem Eli and the music was perfectly combined to lift your words higher within the soul.

simply thrilling! I`m so impressed from this poem of darkness, even it`s not horrible, but it`s real and ghostly, showing the true essence inside us.. trying to capture the world beyond reality of visible things..very nice flowing, the voice of the soul is so touching and haunting. My favorite is the last verses, I always imagined that i`ll fly!

I soaked in the air, like I was an amphibian,
Delightfully graced with my second life;
This cold, like thin freedom in your lungs,

The warm arm is it of guardian angel?

I soaked in the air, like I was an amphibian,
delightfully graced with my second life-- such beautiful lines. Amazing indeed...

I love the feel of this piece. There is saddness, but there is also hope and the rising of the pheonix above the ashes; the formation of something new and exciting. I too feel this right now, feel these words. You are a true talent, my friend.

Thank you dearly Sarah, I'm pleased you see so much in my writing... :)
i like you make such wonderful allegory...tell one story, and hidden between the lines another wonderful story of evolving in life and love..."the light in your eyes, overexposed"

almost warns of this fantasy that could be covering up bad intentions....but i don't want to take negative away from this piece, so i will consider...second life...as something like a baptism into a calm and peaceful existence...on land.

your words, beautiful as always.

Wow, wow, wow, I love a poem that can tell a story, I know cause I try so hard to be that kind of poet.
This is just like an awakening, I'm seeing the process of evolution in such a mystical way.. and it's frankly quiet beautiful and haunting at the same time. I love it to pieces.. I cannot believe i've missed out on reading your work, this is amazing.
Your choice in music is perfect, it gives the poem so much more depth and celestial feel.

I've come back to read this again, this is incredible.
