Let me be just a tiny little woman,

All alone, nowhere and everywhere

For the road is my home,

There I shall feel safe;

 

There don’t exist any questions

How to go on further, for further

Isn’t there yet,

 

Where eternity continues…

     I shall transit

 

When time is with us, we shall be drowned

In these arms, of love,

Rest, and peace.

 

For now, I keep on moving,

Among my shield of life

 

The only steps I take are those

To be closer to there

To walk my lifetime, of minutes

 

And when I may rest,

I shall get rewarded, with the gloom

Of a noiseless little present;

 

And rest for eternity,

When time stands still for a moment

There where I donate the earth my last breath

Oh, Elisa, my friend! You just blow me away with your writing, honestly!! Now I understand what you meant by the whole "road devilette" thing. This poem expresses that quite perfectly.

Somehow, this reminds me of "On The Road" by Jack Kerouac, not just because it's about that, literally, but because of the "free" vibe of it. It helps remind me of the fluidity and the eternity of true existence, in the realm of the absolute.

I think we can get so caught up in daily routines and the mundane that we forget about ultimate reality. My favorite stanza in this is where you say, "The only steps I take are those/To be closer to there/To walk my lifetime, of minutes."

Those words, to me, are extremely profound - it's as if you're speaking a universal truth, that we are always in the here and now, no matter where we may be physically. They may not have been what you meant, but there is such a wonderful wisdom in this piece, that I think it transcends even the words that are on the page.

Thank you Eric for your wonderful review, with depth, and hights... I do like what you see in this write, and what you interpret, it's perfect how "you" see it. I catch up soon... :) I was for 2 days far away, outside my country....

I felt no time flowing through your poem. It feels just as eternal as the path you describe in it. Time is endless when we wonder how longer we're staying on this world.
Maybe it is better to be as little as we are, instead of comparing ourselves with the infinity of time and space.
A friend of mine once said: "The real problemas is not life beyond death, but to think that there's something else"
Well, i'm not agree, I guess somehow there is something beyond, as the energy we are in the cosmos We must transform in somerhing beyond our understanding. We shall calle it resurection, reencarnation, eternal knowledge, for you it is called the road it is tour home.
Your poemas always soothes muy heart and soul sis, even when there are things I still can't understand, I lo ve them.

This is so special it is breathtaking... For some reason this makes a specail connection with me.. When you talk about the road and finding a time to rest this may not make any sence but this kinda reminds me of my grandpas house... He is no longer with us so when i left his house today i felt as if i was leaving my emotions there.. Here you are writing in my eyes about finding your peaceful place but cant find that place where you can let it all go and not feel any pain..... Trust me keep looking my love you will find it.. I may be totally wrong on why you wrote this but this is how i saw it when i read it and i must say thank you
