Love, Romance, Place to wake up, Euphoria

~ Backwards

I once belonged to steal the night, from a day,

But what a wonderful garden you’ve grown,

A window pane, so transient, visions into

Delights bloom, grace and harmony, of your own

Now nothing less is brought to me,

Just your eloquent voice of  rest and peace,

Burned us backwards against the clock

There is no more need to cry out the salt of tears

Embrace the pain, softly and with your careful touch,

Whisper it, your invisible heart, through the morning dew;

Paint the name, for it has to be buried there

Deep underneath this bed of leaves anew…

Now closed eyes will bring you forward

To awake into the bed of being there at home;

A place to stay, and to forever wake-up

On Sunday mornings, with a timeless love so prone

You do me in baby, my head always a mix of things when I read you. All sorts of one thing set next to another. You are unpredictable, yet at the same time, you make everything end in the way I hope it will. I so hope you are happy my dear Elise. Big kiss and hugs - my so talented writer -

Thank you so much Rita. :) always good to see you by!
Sis, This is an embrace in itself... I had to read it again...

You always calm my heart with such gentle dreamy words...
Anytime I feel out of sorts, I come to your poetry...
You exude wisdom, patience, and kindness... along with potent thoughts...
The diversity you instill, is magnetic!

" Embrace the pain, softly and with your careful touch,

Whisper it, your invisible heart, through the morning dew;

Paint the name, for it has to be buried there

Deep underneath this bed of leaves anew…"~ A true Poetess you are! Lovely!!~xoxo~:)

Wow Elisa, this is beautiful.

Deep meanings to the words, the poem flows deliciously.

I can see a well worn relationship in this piece, it reminds me of my previous love. Hanging on together when we both knew there was better for us.

With the lines "I once belonged to steal the night" and "burned backwards against the clock" I found the English a bit strange, is it poetic license?

Just nit picking lady, you are a very talented poet.

Well written and well read.

I couldn't help but smile while reading this. Oh, the feels! Reminds me of a period of transience that slowly gets combated by a deep-seated love, bringing two individuals so close together as to unite harmoniously.

Pink Silence...so much softer than Red but just as powerful. I adore the first line - I once belonged to steal the night, from a day,....I always feel need to sway when I read your work....I am transformed into so many different things, most inspiring and seducing into pale shades of beauty and love. Thank you for lending me your tenderness. This was a much needed journey! ~

Thank you so much my friend, your words mean a lot xx
Why are you so different?
I absolutely adore every bit of detail you put into this piece.
The music playing in the background actually made me slightly more immersed.
I'm at awe. Great work!
