~ There Was No Time Left

There was no time left

In his dark room full of smoke,

He was too late

There was no time left

To save her,

Embrace her,

To feel his heart melted with hers

By day, she would be gone,

Choked into all what was left

Maybe she was no more…

Yet, he was calm, to his core,

He knew there wasn’t more pain,

He coughed and fell down

With his head on the floor

He saw her face, gleaming in red

Was she the lady he never had?

Was she the smoke in his lungs

The spell of his death?

There was no more time left….

No time,  no nothing…

Left to be said

"Was she the smoke in his lungs The spell of his death?" Oh my what a powerful line.

I can answer this question.

She is the vapor in my breath where I am just the mist
She is the cloud in my head where I am just the dream
She is the reason where I am just the existence
She is the soul where I am just the body
She is the light where I am just the shadow
She is the vessel where I am just the fragile

She is the scream caught in my throat
The tear I refuse to shed
She is the why to my question and the answer
The question I refuse to ask
She is my future and will be my past
The now I refuse to leave behind
She is my comfort and my joy
The reason there is a smile on my face

I love her more each day as we live our lives away.

Awesome poem, It was a joy to read...!

Sometimes we have done wrong to someone we love, realized our mistake and decide to make it up but it's over...there's no more time left.
I hope I can relate to this.
Good job, Elisa. And oh, a nice choice of music, too.

"There was no time more left…" I believe you want the words 'time' and 'more' switched around here.
I really liked this piece Elisa!
The way you played with the words and took us all on a journey, it was a captivating piece. Well done, as always!

I am spellbound, enchanted and mesmerized by this incredible journey you set me on with this piece from your spirit. The image captured me, your words I read again and again as I listened to "Blueneck ~ Lilitu for the first time. I cannot begin to describe how meaningful it is for me to be introduced to new music.

This is eerie Sis!...gives me chills...
and the music is haunting... I truly feel the demise of the man who felt the smoke of death... perhaps she was there to give him comfort in his last hours...

Oh my... this picture haunts me... How many days have I felt like i was drowned in thin air. My soul floating away without anything to keep it held inside me. A fluttering of wings as my life looses meaning...
Ok, back to the write. We often loose ourselves in the fight to save what or whom we love. Yet, we always find oursleves when we feel averything is lost... Even in time. In reality, there is time. There has been, there still is, and there will be. It just will not be what we thought it was supposed to be.
Loved the emotions you sparke in my heart with this write and picture. The music is perfect too! I need a late night and some relaxation to enjoy the song more.

Thank you :)
To me, this is about a man who accidentally loses or kills a close friend with his own demons. The fire represents his demons, the room the relationship, and the smoke the building poison from his demons. He cant control the fire, and he couldn't save her from it. And so he is left to wonder what she could have been to him and to mourn what was lost.
Interesting write.
