~ Oneness

To be in one place so

Connected to everything

Where your body dances

With the warm wind

And your senses do excite,

I felt your roots

As if your ghost swirled

In this life through each element

And not could commit a touch

But as free as the grains of sand

in my hair

I hear you whispering

My great love

Back to your roots

I walk the long visual desert

Into your green eyes,

And you follow my trusty odor

I am one with you

The sun in my back,

Oases stretched out

I dance your heartbeat

Where it leaves me to

Bring you happiness

I love this stanza, as much as this whole poem. But this stanza stands out to me. It's in the eyes where we see through each other's soul. I love the visual walk you gave me through your eyes to his. Awesome write!

Some place can remind us of someone significant to us. And when we're there, even if that person is long gone, we will feel their presence like a warm promise or assurance, even understanding. I loved this write Elisa.

The desert is a beautiful and mysterious place. All those grains of sand are separate unto themselves, but if viewed from the right perspective, they make one landscape. Good thing we have those oasis' to quench our thirst in those parched lands. Many travelers walk for miles just to find those green eyes to drink from.

What I like most about this piece, Eli, is that you give the landscape personality. Most people would think of the desert being a dull and inhospitable place but you have given it a sense of life. As if the woman and the sand merge together and there is no difference between them. They have an understanding....they have connected roots. They share their nature.

Lovely work on this, sis. I really like the concept a lot. It is something so relatable to me personally.I am taking this to my library :)

I love this piece so much. It is so lively and colorful. The stanza "
My great love
Back to your roots
I walk the long visual desert
Into your green eyes,
And you follow my trusty odor
I am one with you" is magnificent and very handsome. lol:0

Mister Cord, thank you so much! and also for seeing those handsome little connections :P :D lol
To be connected to all of your surroundings and being at one with them is truly beautiful. I feel this when I go climbing and sit at the summit looking at every detail from my feet to the horizon, and understand them all completely. beautiful sense of freedom and life in these words Elisa
