~ This Night, back in the mind, time, travel, you, me, we, love, rain, kiss

~ This Night

 

A long day resulted extended

In a drive along the busy

Streets with the green and red light

Reflected in every raindrop

My thoughts so full

Your thoughts even fuller

 

Doubly linked; not knowing

The tears of our universe

So utterly needed, and respected,

But also seen as our agony

United by fate, loved by skin

In dense thoughts slightly loosened

 

Where is the days council? so far away?

If our threads never separate

On the early morning sun

And our place is wet from the rain

A love felt in mid, through each journey

And by ground so unfinished ...

 

By growing in each flowering

Breath of life, each cell of our brain

Any thoughts flowing like water

And the days are numbered, but never counted out

In infinite minds like we share…

Though I'm halfway determined

 

Back roads are impossible

Ways forward, not good enough, yet…

The roads through the side? the side window?

Yes, I found you on my way to what I missed

And you found me, we accepted

The Northern rain this night

"A long day resulted extended" yes, like those long summer days, when the sun slowly goes down for what seems like hours... Like lovers, trying to extend a kiss so they won't have to say goodbye just yet... And to avoid a fight, those "The tears of our universe", because when love is threatened, it feels like it's the whole world that is in danger. But in the water, in each drop of the warm summer rain, arguments can be washed away, and emotions can be renewed, reborn... Happiness is not found on a highway that makes you save time, but in these "The roads through the side? the side window?"... But rather on a long, appreciated detour toward what matter most. More dust on that road, but through that dust resides hope.... I really enjoyed reading this one Elisa, like so many of yours, it's full of superb imagery and just a feast of imagination and words... Well done ! 100/100

The Northern rain this night"~ This is timeless... the music brought me back to a time when love was pure. (When a glance from a love would make a girl blush). You have depicted trials and separations would only strengthen the bond between you two. The road ahead may be long, but the discovery is more rich when you go off the beaten path. Love this Sis. By now many people must have already praised you for you imagery, your deliverance and your unparalleled skill to twist love, fate and solitude into one poem which has more than one theme, so i guess it would be futile to run the same cliched stream of appreciation again..... Actually, i feel a little jealous right now... "THE TEARS OF THE UNIVERSE"... why did i never think about something like this..... hmmm, well.. Lets just say that you are gifted as a poet but i bet i would beat you all guns blazing in a pie eating contest..... Jokes apart, well done!

Oooooh dear friend :) WOW, what a review, you humble me really here hi hi... smiles.... this is so lovely, thank you, Well I'm going through a very hard periode, I'm for some reasons every night in the hospital to cary for a dear person, sometimes the whole day gets influenced by it, and when there are those little moments of escape, like when it Rains that badly in Northern Europe, and when you drive home, and see your hubbie on the same side of the road, getting his way back home too, you realize life is full of coincidences and it is all so connected, it is all so close, while you were in a fuzzy state of mind of the day, you know, in a way of not realizing fully, not letting it in fully, and then all is faith, and fate together, how it shows up..................... that is what I meant with this poem, dear. Thank you so much Holland greets you X
