~ Our Intimacy

 

 

 

You are the sea, within my veins

Sloshing aqua instead of blood

The little space between my cells

And the brain when out of food

 

You are the man of all my dreams

How your character loves mine

The way you are lost, I ain’t

And when I am, you’re fine

 

I always dream of you in silent skies

Where our love can fly

Even as on earthly ground

When we touch the sky

 

O’er us a smoke of thoughts

Delight covered within our dreams

You’re the love when I’m insane

The freedom of our streams

 

You’re the diamond in my sea

My heart and air I live,

Grief with you isn’t there

For you is all the love I give

 

You love and reach beyond,

I made stronger our bond

We just are those who never give up,

Two birds with broken wings can fly

Chained to each others brightest sky

I have probably read this five times now, and every time I read it, it is like a little more of its beauty shines through. I have often felt like a bird with a missing wing. As I try to fly, I can only spin around in a circle, never able to completely lift off. But I know, somewhere, someplace, someone has found that wing. And someday....they will return it to me...and I will fly away.....as one.

"Two birds with broken wings can fly chained to each other brightest sky".....yes, I think they can.

Yesssss!!! This is brilliant and so poignant. With the metaphors you the strength is vivid that these two were meant to be and are blessed by the universe as thee in whatever form the are to see each as there own free and together. It rolls out loud with such beauty spoken like the wind across my ears. I feel those lips move like lovers do, and with the Earth spinning in a dance. It reveals the long lasting passion it is so hard to describe in the moment. I really also love the instinct quality of innate in true love. Lovely write! :)X

This is a very creative write and it had me thinking of my love. I haven't written her a poem yet but I have wrote my wedding vows to her. Made me think of that and that made me happier.
