Ah yes, the Pegasus, most noble of creatures amongst the fantasy population of the mind. Not quite real perhaps, yet as real as the words it inspires... I can see why you were attracted to write about it. I see the "Observing new land" you mentioned as all the possibilities the blank pages offers to the poet. So I was most satisfied with that beautiful ending: " With the poet on his back" Makes perfect sense, to use the Pegasus to bravely charge into the unknown regions of our art... A beautiful poem Elisa, thanks for sharing! :)

Thanks again for your beautiful insights. How skittish (by intelligence) a horse can be, how the poet can make them calm, ... and wings are spread ...
I have always loved Pegasus! You made this even better. I can enjoy the thought of riding this eternal and never tamed creature of the gods every time I write! Wow! Maybe I can be Odysseus as well?
Loved the write.

This is exceedingly good! I find it a poignant symbol. I like those creatures! Two parts really impressed me:
Indomitable and free
Wings still spread
To another song of heart
and
Of immense touch,
Within that magic
Conformity of the soul
Merging with light

Pegasus, sired by Poseidon in his role as house god, will gladly give to you the reins without the
accompanying circumstance or conditions of mythology, and would gladly let you mount him if
just for the electicity of this final stanza.
just lovely...dana

Pyschedelic and otherworldly. It was beautiful work with a romantic touch.
I felt as if I was floating and drifting through inspiration and the power to
create. This work is a joy to read.

Oh thank you my friend, for being here. I'm pleased you enjoyed my writing. :-)
I love the idea of the pegasus carrying the poet, Eli! It is so true that we are one with that creature. It is something that is of myth but we have turned it into legend with words. I think it is a great way to transport thought. A pegasus is immortal. So is a poet. The idea behind this piece of art is so unique. I very much enjoyed it, my friend :)

Never tiring, never stopping, continuing in winged flight to the far outer reaches of the universe of myths and beyond. How lovely are your words, and the sound of the Greek Lyre is exquisite! May the poet ever ride upon his back to be carried to his place where words of the soul are given to share, to instill breath anew where it is lacking; love blossoms as words are spoken, and the winged horse lifts up even higher in flight!
