Ah yes... I dive right back in and I am greeted with greatness once more! Two stanzas, like the two wings of the raven. Short, sharp words, like those eyes that can see so clearly far into the horizon... These inked wings will spread words to foreign regions of the world. Words to bring hope in a time of pain. Unable to rest, still, as the raven must travel even further... the hymn is not done, and more ravens must answer her call...
Another great one Elisa, thanks for sharing! :)

The raven takes a new look. Very different from my take, you're right my friend....we have opposite sides of the coins here. Nicely pen'd as always Eli.

Beautiful poem. The music reminds me that of "The Dead can Dance". Having a kind of "connection" to Norse mythology, I have come to revere the raven as a caster of shadows, where death and the lessons from legends are born and brought to life. I consider this poem, selfishly, to be a beautiful tribute to not only that of what may have been your muse for writing this piece, but also to that of Huginn and Muninn!! I wish I could implant part of me to be with you on here for days, whilst still performing the regular task of work and sleep. : ) Beautiful Elisa. xoxo -Mark

Thank you for your review and beautiful thoughts Mark, very happy you enjoyed this piece :)
This piece floats softly on a wanderer's wing. So happy I came along for the ride.
Very deep and wonderful.

I have always loved ravens... many think they represent death where as I believe they are watchers over the down and out guiding them to a better place... love the uplifting spirit of the poem.
To persevere through obstacles (dark times) is a testimony to ones character. In the Native American Indian Lore, the Raven is symbolic for change or transformation...birds in general are of hopes and dreams. This to me, is of strength and courage. This is a beautiful write, truly inspirational!
