Cogito Ergo Sum

Knowing I sit alone and quietly

In sincere feelings

As in the eye of the death

I have nothing to fear

Prolonged paths

I've walked and

Seen, with blisters on

My feet,

I crossed

Along seasons,

I have fought with emotions

As your own feelings

Can beautifully dance as

Smoke rises in nothing

Above your head…

The battle of contemplative

I’ve studied,

It has hurt me, to wasted

Energy curves of thinking

At mazes with no end

At horizons, without a

Sun or a moon

Where I let myself dwell

Into pure nothing

But where I still felt some residual

Sparkles of hope

Go to the bottom is an art

To pick up some sand in your hand,

And up to swim like helium

Had filled your veins

Until this day

Where you are,

And where you see yourself

Laugh, a little and not

Are afraid of the past

The trip made me fly

Above clouds and along

The roads of Heraklion

Landscapes from above

High mountains, sharp edges

Bald reefs, but also

The rising sun, like a warm

Blanket, which embraces you

To persevere…

keep having those sparkles of hope. This reminds me of the tiredness that life can cause. The weight of too much to do, too much expected of you and not knowing you have the strength to continue. Where even the long drawn out sigh it brings, can feel like the last of your energy is used. But we pick ourselves up, and carry on. Maybe looking at the sky and remembering, thefeeling this life can bring which can, and will again, one day make you soar.
I feel I have been there too, but will always look to the sky at these times,, and remember.
Wonderful images within your words.

once at the bottom there is only one way to go and that is up, and I love how you described the ascent , one can gradually get up stumbling falling, or one can drift like a hot air balloon full of life and love, we choose the journey once we choose the direction, I love this xxxx and you :)

Such beautiful real words. I believe your like me in the need to be grounded in raw beautiful reality and truth. Anything less is unbearable. Stunning words dear.

When we invest everything we are into someone or something only to find ourselves emotionally and spiritually naked, we are driven to the type of despair you describe so well. This was an excellent read touching many familiar moments and it deserved to be read again. Thank you for this one.

Greetings from over sea.
I love the warmth of the last stanza...the embrace is comforting.
You took me on a journey to the edge, and yet you showed compassion. What a poignant write! Excellent art... always setting the bar high!

This is gotta be one of the most deepest poems I've read my you, Elisa. At the beginning is so, but as the poem flows along, there is hope at last. Keep on writing, Elisa, and I hope you're writting will make you fly like the poem did for you.
