This is beautiful. Perfect. I can sense the way observations held true here. This is another one of my favorites...Some people wish they could be a man and pass a bottle, but can't. I know some who are like this, any sort of addiction is like a double edged sword. It makes the person feel great, but sucks their lives away without them knowing. You have portrayed this so well here, I love this. Great work Eli.

Anyone that peddle with any substance walks that thin line of being taken over by or pulled deep into this sinking sand of endless cravings and next fix. Its like a parasite that found and hooked to its host....

we all reach for something to dull the pain, again you have beautifully described the chains that hold people back from truly living and enjoying their lives, I live in a glass house so I can throw no stones, nicotine is also an addiction. You have brought such a beauty to something that can potentially cause such devastation, and / or hold us back from healing the real cause of pain. Some pains can't be healed but they can be accepted and built upon if the will to live and love are there inside too. beautifully done.

Thank you dearest for your beautiful and wise words :) xxx
i can feel a big deal of frustration and disappointment here...but i can feel the strength to face all life difficulties. there is a story about this, the girl went to her father complaining from life difficlties, her father was a chef, the father got a carrot, an egg and some coffee, put each in a pot with boiling water and after some minutes asked his daughter to check each one, the hard carrot lost its hardness, the egg became solid from the inside as well as it was solid from the outside, the coffee has changed the water into nice coffee...i want to say, the three of them passed through the same conditions, the carrot was damaged, the egg got harder while the coffee could change conditions to its own benefit...you can choose to be one of the three..but please dont be the carrot..

Thank you dear friend for telling me this story... Truly appreciated.
the more you indulge on alcohol the more its harder to stop... then your world start to cramble down slowly ... little by little you lose something important... addiction is a hard process to over come of many for like you said the chains of sorrow and pain are too heavy that only alcohol makes them forget it for a time... i remember what i wrote before about problems that i haven't post it yet here it says:
No matter how far you've run
Doesn't even matter what you drink
Or just get stoned
It will just come back to the way it were
Escape like the wind blows
But comes back as fast as the river flows
We just have to stop evading
And face it with courage.
~some problems are much harder to solve with alcohol around... you don't have a clear mind on that... so i say ponder on it, learn to forgive and let go... the chains will be bearable if you learn to let go...
awesome write it made me think!

I am helping this one, for years now, he won't see it.... it is true alcohol denial...
It's based on true life facts, of hurt this person became in. And I understand them.
Sometimes, I drink with him, to soften the fact, of his hurt, to reach him.
It's hard.... he lives in a world of pain, and chains, and I want to get him out.
Sometimes, indeed we just have to accept it's their choise, and let it be~
For the beatles where brilliant, in lyrics always....
Even " Jimi Hendrix" I love him, and his psychadellic visions.
Love to you dear friend, you're beyond wise :)))) I always knew,
Otherwise I wouldn't hang out with you lol :D xoxo love you

sometimes they needed a slap on the face yet sometimes its not the right way for it make this person stay away... or sometime they needed a friend yet sometimes they think our over caring is too bothersome... or sometimes they only needed a good advice for them to realize the choices and mistakes are just part of what makes us human... we need to grow up and man up(courageful) for this kind of things... or sometimes they will learn the hardest way not sure what but maybe near death experience or or they needed to see how mesirable they look like a reality slap.. :D
your an awesome friend to be there... hope you'll not get tired my friend for they can be really troublesome at times...
take care always..and your friend too...

You can talk talk talk, but you'll soon recognize a based alcoholist, between the little ones.... those who are truly addicted denial all. Others on borders, will face their problem. But if it's gone yet too deep, too far, their is only madness against your good intentions. And paranoid behaviour, hiding bottles, in each and every corner of the room, lying, denial, in all ways.... saying it's healthy to drink that much.... it's docters advice even.... they slowly believe in their own story. It takes years, to captivate it as a case. No, Eli is the problem solver, in technics, as in life time.... I was born to do duty. lol really I rather love real s**t, than peanuts... I always say, from real s**t you learn, from soft rambling itchy problems of some, you get anger, because their are always harder ones on earth.... so we must stay positive, and be strong. If we aren't good for ourselves, we can't be for others. Simple as that. Love to you dear friend, you too take always care xoxo

Disillusionment ruins. But there's a deeper reason behind every detachment. Serious problems that will make a person withdraw socially and emotionally. People with depression may deliberately or unwittingly use alcohol as a means of self-treatment. On the other hand, alcohol abuse may lead to depression risk, rather than vice versa. This is rather a thoughtful write, chère.
