~ Bleeding Rose

I found out my heart was a Rose

Lonely and ruby red

Seasoned and transience

I had hurt myself with daily grief

With too much love,

And too much thought

In my  too heavy head

But what other way could I go;

As I felt the pain of others

In a honest thousand ways,

I could be from stone

Rigid and cold with no heart;

But it would not be the way

I chose to love and

To love profoundly;

I dwelled inside your pain

Felt you through every bone,

But even as your pain was mine

I chose always to inner shine

Wearing that heart on our sleeves makes it so easy to damage, I think. But what is the other choice? To hide our hearts so they can never be touched? I think I would rather love too much than too little. I would rather feel too much than nothing at all.

This is a raw and honest piece of writing, my friend. Very fragile. I think there is a beauty to that. When we love openly and honestly, we can feel that other person as though it is ourselves. That is a bond that we never lose.

I can very much relate to this one. Definitely a favorite.

sometimes i have this problem also...too much empathy and i tend to dwell inside others' pain...not sure if that is such a bad thing though..i don't mind sharing the burden, it makes more tolerable to share.

i really like this poem

A very delicate and quite beautiful write....I have to say however that there is no such word as choosed...it should be CHOSE.....AND you would have TOO MUCH THOUGHT..not...THOUGHTS..either that or too MANY THOUGHTS/////

Still a great poem though

A rose is fragile, handle it gently and it will bloom within your life always. Very nicely written Elisa, very beautiful.

Thank you so much sweet friend. It is so true what you say. Love is knowing pain.
Deep and touching at the same time. If you fell in love, chances are that you know when your partner is in pain, and you sense his pain, and then before you know it, you're hurt as well. You did wondeful with this poem, dear Elisa.

Such beauty in words... i felt the sadness of what you also felt for yourself and the people around you...

Even as your pain was mine
I choosed always to inner shine

~ a sensitive soul who choose to shine, positivism in hardship... like what i do... we choose this because we live life to the fullest no matter what... it just what it is... Life is Life...
Ver expressive my dear friend.
