~ Perfumed

Bath o Bath full of etheric bliss

Drown me to life O’ Please!

Breathe me back my lost perfume

As bygone days will come

Let me dream into your petals

Whisper me underwater love

Bath o Bath of my pink rejuvenation

Wash off my green old nature

Bubble me to newer streams

Of youth where I shall be born

Sublime. There really is nothing quite like a gentle bath to cleanse away the tiredness, the monotany and the "grime" of the day, particularly if it was a bad day. There is certainly a rejuvination that comes from soaking in the warmth of clean waters, and you have captured this so beautifully.

If only water could wash away the footprints of time and past mistakes so we could go back in time, be young again and undo what needs to be undone. But water only makes us ponder and it could only go that far. This poem is very meaningful. You are full of wisdom, my dear:)

Without youth, we are no future.... soon to come more of this subject.... :) so glad you loved this,.. read more
Ah yes... The power to suspend time when submerged in the hot water... An ode to that elusive mythical Lazarus Pit (sorry for the Batman reference!) where we are restored, renewed, ready and cleaned of the sins and lies of the previous day. Confessions under water don't count as much I guess... A clean perfumed slate to face the world again. At peace, within the bubbles, where nothing seems as bad at it might be in the cold air outside... A great read, thank you for sharing! :)

I like the Chopin accompaniment to this poem or is the poem an accompaniment
to Chopin. Whatever, it satisfies a need to be rejuvinated, written of course,
with your great authority. Nicely done. dana

i love the repeating of the words "Bath oh Bath", maybe seems alaike with "mirror mirror on the wall" ! its like hymn of renovation and pure energy of the water, which we both love :) dont forget that perfume is strong magic...

I love your interpretation so pure! thank you dearest! xo
Refreshing it is indeed. Short but powerful. What I really like about you, Elisa, is that you just know the perfect length of your poems. And you really pick such beautiful and wise choice of words. Brilliant
