~ Too heavy to Carry

With your pearled embrace that shiny

You’re too heavy to carry

Your weight is too big and your love

Too much

I can’t breathe with you around my neck

Your glimpses are too void and vain;

Just give me back simplicity in all you were

When you sung a rain of roses to catch

For me in early spring

The waltz of love is so rare

Focused by swirling souls on the planet

Of romance, but in days of loneliness

Each and every heart will beat

I will leave you alone, for where you rest

As I can breathe the same need

My chest bleeds as yours did before

In all days, and I confess

I can't move on, when all is following me

Into the darker caves, I feel not happy

Let me be embraced with your bare hands

And a sonnet of being

Wake me up, out of the darkest days

Shine on me my sun,

Days without your beams

Are doomed for times in paleness

For no better beginning

But torture my thoughts,

Like I dwell often in these months

To fulfill the need of your musings

Love is a mistress on a shifting cloud

A cloud in a stack of multiple layers

Which one you will pick out will be

Depending on your daily mood

I shall wait until I can carry the weight

Of love and pain, and my thoughts above there

Stuck with you in my relative being

Until then I live my thoughts, rested on clouds

But not for long... for you shall morn

Author's Note

~ Sometimes things can be too heavy... love has a heavy weight, (The weight of love) A. Ginsberg always spoke of, and he's more than true... remember...

Remember this is pure poetry, no more no less.
I love to experiment.

Thank you xx

This has such a feeling of being in darkness, waiting for the light to ease your burden. Maybe winter to spring, or a long night into day or maybe just the heaviness of life lived at the wrong speed. A lot in here I feel and can understand. Love the pic by the way

Lot's of mystery and depth in this read. I find it odd that you had to clarify it was poetry, no more, no less...just punched up this read to be even more mysterious. It's deep and heavy in it's message, yet light and full of life. I love this one, it's the convoluted messages that love sometimes sends. Just lovely dear Eli.

Thank you dear for your beautiful comment x
This is beautiful and so real...the weight of love can be overbearing at times, but I am often amazed at the weight some are willing to carry. Love can be light as a feather, but allow a few tears to damping the wing and flying becomes more difficult. If you think about it, tears and frowns weigh down love where smiles and laughter lighten the load. very nice perspective in this piece and your experiment seems to be a success.

This poem is honestly one of my favorite from you! i love the picture with the girl and big necklace, surreal, beautiful, I feel it as me, I had to carry the same heavy necklace of love and pain...it makes me forget to breath, the feelings of
jelousy and posession...it express my emotions so clear...

Thank you for this thoughts and honesty sweets xx
This poem really got to my core. Love can be so easy, yet so hard. I really made me understand how patience and understanding are virtues of love. You gave me a lot to think about and gave me a brilliant new perspective...as always.

I too believed that love can be heavy at times... its a complicated situation that you need a breathing space to think and ponder the heaviness of its contents... in that space you'll think what is too much or just enough...

a thoughtful write my friend...
it's great!

The weight of love. Funny how it can lift you into the stratosphere, or crush you like a bug.. A lovely poem Elie, And the music––-soothing

Ellie, so beautiful, releasing a heavy weight will make us eventually feel lighter...
bright again like dawn, but it's a process yes? Some days are easier than others, and the heaviness of others can also effect the way we feel, especially if they are one, like you and your jeans :) xxx
