~ The Phantoms

 

 

When the dusk fell, they came

The shadows of Moscow,

Along the wet and chilly streets

Where they walked in time

 

Lost stories, painful thoughts

Deep lost decay in their hearts

The sad silent shimmer all in gray

That did woes these spirits every day

 

Lost hope in any justice when

Days passed, but always on time

They were marching along the wet

Dark and cold streets of the city

 

For getting repentance they never had

This immense cold then howled like an icy

Wind that blew shrill past your ears,

Present at those moments you feared it most

 

From one fraction to the other

The street was clear again from their

Black smoke, as the night fell and the shadows

Had disappeared in the absence of light

 

Their whispers were still to hear

Flying and floating in the cold air

Screaming in the hope of tomorrow

But for now they fled in the death of the night

 

The disaster was gone for the moment

Until they return in dusk upper hue

To crack your soul, and your inner fear

And the bad conscience, which rest in you

Music - Beyond brilliant, just gave the piece an epic wow factor.
I can feel the ice cold streets of Moscow between my naked feet, the lost souls left behind, unable to follow the light they plague the streets, looking for a way to be accepted. I like how they fade away in the shadows as night arises... you give your poems personality and that is not easy to do.. every poem has an Elisa signature, a story.. so many writers here can learn from you.. I know I have! Wow, that picture too is perfect .. just puts a clear image of the poem in my head.. I'm in awe of this piece.. i really like it, I wish I wrote it :D

I don't know if I've told you E, but I admire you so much for sharing your writings here. I've struggled for a few years now to learn Spanish and would not be able to write a grocery list let alone anything deeper in that language.

Your command of English is very good and the images you portray are always interesting, thought provoking.

The dark side you portray gives me a sense of ghosts.... inner and outer. Really loved the poem :)

Thank you for this words, I'm just a little Dutch girly of 30 who loves to explore, and share my thoughts, not even want to be famous with these writes, I guess, that's my personal feeling to it. I love to write, didn't do nothing with it for a long time when I was blocked, one dear friend of me, has me then helped when he sucked me kind of out of the pit, and persuaded me to post my work here, I'm stuck to this day still, lol. Loved this, the song was well chosen to read this as well. I loved the darkness it portrayed and the atmosphere it gave off while reading. I truly felt cold, fear, and darkness. I liked the end how they are safe for the time being. Nicely done! This is the kind of things we need to see more of :)! 100/100!

i think this is one of those situations where your multi lingual assets are contributory to the english tongue, and the result is poignancy and utter
