~ Free Flight

The view from my front porch

Inspires me to play again

The freedom in my blood

Flows through my veins

The sky is more blue than ever

And the birds fly free above

The flow of the stream is

Hurtling me inspiration

The days where we danced

Are unfortunately no longer,

But nothing is keeping me

In order for you to play

My song to you, humming;

To touch your sensitive strings

My heart for you to feel

I will always love and shall recall

And you do dream on days

Like this, where nothing hold me back

Where I am free and fly

In the thoughts I give you my

Love song, and explanation

On your soul where

You will see me again encounter

If our paths will cross again

And I find my way, as you yours

Days are with us, no sorrow

We celebrate life,

We sing and make music

In and after death, I will play for you

My musical thoughts flow with you

Your soul will be resurrected

In the light of the band that we have

Just fly,

Fly my angel…

This is a very intriguing piece... I could not figure out who's the muse here... Was it a onetime encounter on a stage or were they both in the band and parted ways ..yet their love for music continues... They now walk a separate path and gone their separate ways ... yet perhaps and who knows maybe their path may cross again... There's no doubt about it. They both love music and play instruments...

Are you sure that you don’t have some Hungarian heritage in you????? You have created a beautiful tranquil flow between the song and your poem and that’s not just because you are a great writer but because you can sense the true essence around you ~hugs~
Thank you Beautiful Friend for showing me this delight!

The poem is gorgeous. It's eternal echo sends chills down my spine. Especially that last stanza:

In and after death, I will play for you
My musical thoughts flow with you
Your soul will be resurrected
In the light of the band that we have

Just fly,

Fly my angel…

I cannot articulate how beautiful and free those words are. So much so that they choke me up. To love another beyond the physical the possibilities soar with such a depth it buries me in thought and contemplation.

Wow, why aren't you published? You should be :). This is some of the best poetry I've ever read, no joke.
''The view from my front porch

Inspires me to play again'' I can relate to that indefinably. This whole poem really. Although its through a woman's perspective, I can relate on pretty much everything she is saying. How she longs for him again, and if they meet again she will play her song. I have a song for all those close to me, but sometimes its not the right time to play them. Fantastic work! :)

hehe, nicely said friend ;) I like that vibe.
Such beautiful feelings and emotions of being connected to a love, no matter the distance and dimensions in between. I feel this is a real awakening. playing music for your love who isn't there shows the connection will never fade and the two souls were always and ever shall be destined for each other. Like a reawakening of that love. Wondefully captured Elisa
