~ The Reversible (Part 4.)

The days passed, and Julien lived in his dark cave

It was barely visible, whether it was day or night,

But on the water you could feel somewhat always

The storm ashore, brought now and then deeper

Waves to the bottom, and the flow now and then

Was very strong, but he accepted his fate of the sea

The beautiful Nienna, in her shipwreck was weaker

For the purposes of her next rebirth,

Her belly was getting rounder and bigger,

As if her pregnancy now slowly took effort

She came now and then to keep Julien company

And swam over to him in his cave.

Large swarm of sand sharks swam occasionally

Beyond, and hordes of plaice, as he felt their fins

Like small feathers along his body were sliding

And realized is that the sea was everyone’s property

Beautiful simplicity and eternal peace where he

Felt charmed, and somehow had surrendered himself to.

The weeks passed and passed, while Julien slept

Then he suddenly awakened by a loud scream

It were Nienna and her maidens, from across

A large shark was lost in the North Sea

His coordination and route so confused, and near the wreck

Three of the maidens were injured, one was dead...

Nienna lay unconscious on the floor of the

Abandoned ship, and seemed not to breathe.

Her gills were weaker, and they developed

Lung capacity,  Julien did not doubt, grabbed her onto

His shoulder, and swam with her to the surface

Of the sea, and further to shore, where he found the rocks,

He took her to a safe place, and watched her day by day

To see changes to her lifeless body, and her growing belly

Until one morning he had collected some algae underwater

And her eyes did open, and she looked around to him with a dazed look

"Nienna, Nienna; are you there? Can you hear me beautiful princess”?

He smiled sincerely and was very glad she did survived

He felt that he could not long remain above the water,

And every now and then came he back to his beloved anyway,

A wink of luck to bring, and listen to her lyre plays

Nienna was like no other musical notes she played

And as she used to play in the cabin already she again

Enchanted Julien, with her magical powers...

One day Nienna  played so beautiful that her Julien

Could hear her leagues under the seabed, it was divine

This time it were different melodies, it sounded instinctive

He knew she would give birth to her nearly unborn

Yet this was no melody of revelry, but clean like a river

Previously emergency,  and pure love that lurked…

So lovely how he saves her and then watched over her as she seems dead, yet enchanted as the child in her belly still grows, alive. I can feel their love growing, his for her especially and even hers for him though she is asleep in this chapter. And in the opening paragraph, I can feel, all of the sea ebbing, connected. As if to have even a finger in it, I would be able to feel its every movement across the world, as Julien does. I love that your story put that into my head. One question I have is how human versus nymph they are as he places her above the sea but remains living below....
A few grammar things, i will message you dear.
